The President Welcomes Families of Injured National Guard Members to White House

President Donald Trump stated on the weekend that he has invited the family of a National Guard member killed last week to attend the White House.

He added that he spoke to her parents and they were “devastated”.

Information on the Heartbreaking Shooting

Soldier Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a violent incident on Wednesday in DC.

Her fellow service member, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in grave state.

Gatherings across West Virginia have been held in their remembrance.

White House Invitation

The president explained he’s talked about a visit to the White House for the families of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a hard experience, arrive at the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to Sarah,” the president informed reporters. “And likewise with him, recover or not.”

Public Reaction

Attendees gathered over the past few days at the high school in West Virginia to pay respects to Sarah.

Both the soldiers had been fulfilling duties with the military unit as part of Trump’s federal initiative to support public safety in DC.

Paying Tribute to Beckstrom

“Sarah was the type of pupil that teachers hoped for. She conducted herself with inner fortitude, a warm expression and a optimistic attitude that encouraged those around her,” the principal, the principal of her previous school, informed the media. “She was caring, caring and always ready to support those in need.”

Service details for Sarah are yet to be finalized.

Legal Measures and Government Changes

Law enforcement have charged a twenty-nine-year-old suspect with a charge of murder and charges of violent assault while carrying a weapon.

The incident led the government to pause refugee claims and temporarily stop issuing entry permits to holders of Afghan passports.

Status of Wolfe

The airman, a resident of Martinsburg, started his military career in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, as reported by the AP.

He remains under medical supervision and is “battling to survive”, the state’s governor Patrick Morrisey said on a news program.

Attorney general Pam Bondi informed Fox News Sunday that she aimed to meet with his relatives.

Sarah, from Summersville, completed her education from Webster County High in June 2023 and joined the military shortly after, serving as a military police officer with excellence, according to the state guard.

“She had a lot of compassion and she certainly had courage,” Morrisey informed the crowd at the vigil. “Though her time lasted far too short, she has made an impact that’s going to last forever.”
