The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak was ended by the Black Cats prior to the global break, however will the Premier League frontrunners recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, readers and a range of guests.
For the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
The singer's new album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.
Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a professional return as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity game the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.
"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their weekend football team," he added.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.
"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our side for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.
I still think this fixture will be fairly close, however. Burnley are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
This smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they do look competitive again.
The Hammers' only away win this campaign came at Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest manager.
Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or the home side responding?
I am going to go with the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's forecast: 2-0
The guest's prediction: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
The Bees were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season started, but they have impressed a few people under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four matches.
My son advised me to select Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
Thiago will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.
They have not had great success on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.
The analyst's forecast: 2-1
Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
This is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six games.
Fulham have have lots of talent in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.
As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.
The away side's display in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed any other team disrupt the North London side like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.
The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.
But I am not choose that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.
Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at home this season. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0
This is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
