Members of an Italian family of thieves who stole over £1.2m valued of goods, including from former NUFC forward Alexander Isak, have been mandated to return just £1 each.
Siblings Valentino and Giacomo Nikolov, their sister Jela Jovanovic and her child Charlie Jovanovic travelled to the north-east of England to raid multiple homes in April 2024.
The foursome were jailed for between a decade or less in May 2025.
At a proceeds of crime proceeding at Newcastle Crown Court, Jela Jovanovic and the brothers Nikolov were instructed to repay £1 each while Charlie must pay over a thousand pounds.
The judge previously heard the group arrived by boat in the UK on March 27, 2024 and employed a campervan as their "base of operations", which they stationed at a service area and Durham rest stops while using another car to search for targets and carry out thefts.
On March 31 they took more than one million pounds of items such as designer clothing, purses, jewelry and a CBE medal from a residence on a street in Jesmond, Newcastle, while the owners were on holiday.
The next evening, the gang entered a house on a gated cul-de-sac in Whitburn, South Tyneside, and took designer handbags, valuables and shoes worth more than £100,000.
After scouting out the football club's facility for 48 hours, they then acted at the home of Swedish player Alexander Isak in Darras Hall, Ponteland on 4 April, taking ten thousand pounds in cash, sixty-eight thousand pounds worth of jewellery and the striker's £120,000 Audi RS6.
The gang, who were described by the prosecution as professional touring burglars, wore gloves and masks, switched their phones on silent as they approached their objectives and strapped a number plate, which had been stolen from a garage in Chester-le-Street, on to their vehicle with rubber straps.
They were apprehended in the Birmingham on April 13.
Valentino Nikolov had pleaded not guilty to the burglary plot but was found guilty by the court, while his three relations had all entered guilty pleas to the same charge.
At the criminal gains session, prosecutor Daniel Cordey said every one of the burglars had profited from their offenses to the value of over £1.2 million, which was determined by what the affected parties said they had had stolen.
But Charlie Jovanovic was the only one found to have any money that could be "realised", namely over a thousand pounds which had already been seized by authorities, the court heard, with 14 days to be spent in jail if he failed to pay.
The other three had no assets or property so were ordered to pay a nominal fee of £1 per person, with one week in prison the result if the money was not paid.
Judge Robert Spragg said if they were discovered with assets in the future, "for example operating Italy in a sports car or possessing a property", prosecutors could initiate further action to "satisfy the sum due".
