Loyal followers of the actress are demanding that a person who leaped a barrier and seized the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.
A viral video shows the Australian man shoving aside camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors made its way down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.
Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the event by security officers.
Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to be present on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.
This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed includes videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney performance in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the city last December.
"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," commented an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.
"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.
Numerous supporters criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the finale of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.
"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented a further message on Instagram.
Several attendees also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals requested social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's videos.
In clips spreading on the internet, Grande seemed shocked when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.
Grande has not commented on the situation, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.
Many of attendees had gathered in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore venue, including a number who had waited for as long as many hours before it commenced.
The film, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-part version of the acclaimed stage musical Wicked, which revolves around the surprising relationship between two very different witches.
The musical itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a light pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.
They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.
The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful film of the previous year in the UK, and received ten award recognitions, securing several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
