The acclaimed broadcaster and filmmaker, Sir Humphrey Burton, has passed away at 94 years old.
The revered director, who revolutionised classical music programming, died at home with his family by his side.

1978 saw him introduce the Young Musician of the Year, a competition instrumental in identifying future stars including violinist Nicola Benedetti.
