In a bizarre collaboration that challenges conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.
The mission centers on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
