2K Games has secured a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to lead the development team at their internal studio, which is currently working on the upcoming over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as Project Ethos.
Brinkman assumes the leadership position at 31st Union following the departure of former leader Michael Condrey, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' underwhelming initial reveal last autumn.
On Wednesday, the company's top executive a key figure notified staff about this organizational change through an internal memo, which highlighted that early feedback sessions had indicated the requirement for a more defined direction.
The president expressed that the developers is now reimagining the project with a renewed approach, aiming to satisfy gamer demands.
This announcement follows a similar step taken by the publisher in the summer, when they brought on an industry veteran from Blizzard to assist with the beloved franchise studio Cloud Chamber.

The appointee currently serves in the position of executive producer and production lead at the renowned studio for their flagship title. He previously was employed at major gaming companies in multiple production roles on the Call of Duty games, and, before that, had periods at other industry leaders.
Project Ethos was announced in last year together with a public demo. At the time, 31st Union presented the title as a "free-to-play, 3rd-person action-packed experience and an exciting evolution on the genre."
